There are only a few forms of online marketing that are still going strong and still work well, and email marketing is one of them. You can start building an email list today and become profitable, and it still works amid the sea of so many newer forms and techniques of internet marketing. If you have properly cultivated your list, you can see tremendous returns from your email campaigns. Ok, so next we’ll cover several email list marketing strategies that can help you with your campaigns.
Spam filters are the first problem you need to overcome when using email marketing, as these can prevent your emails from being seen. Email service providers and ISPs (internet service providers) use these spam filters to prevent commercial emails from reaching the inboxes of their customers. Each email that is received goes through the spam filter, which awards points to emails to determine if they are spam. Certain emails that get too many points are labeled as spam and are then relegated to a special spam folder or simply deleted, depending on the customer’s settings. You have to make sure that you’re not using any trigger words such as “free”, “make money”, “wealth”, etc. in your email body or subject line. Spam filters often prevent people from receiving perfectly honest emails, even ones they’ve asked for. Another important aspect to email marketing is having a good click through rate. Readers are sometimes diverted from your links by very busy emails that are full of text and images, which can be distracting. This, of course, will reduce the number of click throughs and therefore sales. While some people use banners, recent research suggests that links that are bold and that use the color blue are the ones people most easily identify as links. These links that are blue and underlined and/or bold will stand out to your readers. Your busy readers have to be able to instantly know where your link is if you want them to click on it.
But make sure each email has a call to action in it, even if it’s just to remind them of the next email you’ll be sending. You should clearly tell the subscribers what you want them to do. Don’t be shy about it, if you have links in your email, then just tell them – “Click Here Now.” Don’t hesitate in being repetitive with your call to action. It’s acceptable to mention it two to three times without being aggravating to your readers. If something calls for instructions, then always put them in your emails or else it won’t perform well. You’ll be making a common mistake by assuming readers will take the time to figure out what to do. So always include benefits and then any clear instructions for them to follow. If you keep these principles in mind, you can be very successful with email marketing. Now you know to avoid terms that will set off spam filters, make bold, blue links that people will recognize and use subscribers’ names to make them feel special. Your goal should be to build mutually beneficial relationships with all of your subscribers.
There are several things that I like to talk about. I have just recently began a few articles on the subject of cooking and kitchen tool sets.
